CTL Error Messages on 7942

Hello , I have just finished installing a CUCM 7.1(3) 100000 with firmware SCCP42.8-5-2S, and i am getting the following error.

07:19:18 File Not Found : CTLFile.tlv

07:19:18 No CTL installed

I am not and don't plan to use CTL. Is this just cosmetic? I don't think it is affecting the performance of the IPT. Can I get rid of these messages some how?

I'm getting the same problem for phones 7945G and 7965G. I'm also having problems installing locale and I think is because of this.

If you don't use CTL you'll get that error everytime it restarts o resets, there is nothing to worry unless you do expect them to use CTL

Hi friend, I think that this error is bacause the firmware of the phone.

1. Check if the phone is upgrading the firmware SCCP11.8-5-2SR1S or you can navigate the phone button options to check the load firmware, or you can verify this in device->phone what is the load id value (unknown or the firmware version).

Try a firmware downgrade, it works for me.
