CUBE : Modify or Delete SIP Display Name / Calling Name

Hi,

Is it possible to modify or delete the calling/display name in a SIP Header with cube (with a SIP Profile?) ?

If yes, would you have a configuration example ?

In this kink of invite, I would like to suppress or modify "Jack Shepherd"

INVITE sip:+12065015111@sip2.att.com:5060 SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 177.1.254.1:5060;branch=z9hG4bK2BAFFD
Remote-Party-ID: "Jack Shepherd" <sip:2065011001@corphqr1.ine.com>;party=calling;screen=yes;privacy=off
From: "Jack Shepherd" <sip:2065011001@corphqr1.ine.com>;tag=8074E2B0-20E7

Thanx for your help,

Bastien.

yes it can be done on CUBE as well as SIP GW but

SIP profile works only in outbound direction;

Is this being rec. or sent out ?

Re: CUBE : Modify or Delete SIP Display Name / Calling Name

Great.

My cube is interconnecting 2 SIP Trunk (one to my CUCM and one to my provider).

I want to modify or delete the calling/display name provided by my provider.

So I guess, I would implement the SIP Profile on the outgoing dial peer to my CUCM, wouldn't I ?

Would you have a configuration example please ?

Thanx !

Re: CUBE : Modify or Delete SIP Display Name / Calling Name

Pl. try this

voice class sip-profiles 1
request INVITE sip-header Remote-Party-ID remove
request INVITE sip-header From modify "From: (.*<)(.*>)" "From: <\2"

I am sure there are multiple ways of doing it...this shd work though....

If u want to remove that name from All msgs/responses...simply use ANY keyword

(instead of INVITE)

Re: CUBE : Modify or Delete SIP Display Name / Calling Name

Thanx a lot. It works great.

But I have a strange effect on transfering calls ....

When the call arrive to the CUCM, I add a prefix on the calling number.

This prefix is well shown to the destination IP Phone.

But when the IP Phone transfers the call, the prefix disapears on the destination phone. And so, the call history is not good on this phone.

When I disable the SIP Profile on my dial-peers, this problem disapear.

Any idea on what it could be ?

Thanx,

Bastien.

Re: CUBE : Modify or Delete SIP Display Name / Calling Name

It's probably the Black Smoke Monster realizing that Jack Shepard is calling, so it is removing your call history.  Punch in code '4 8 15 16 23 42' on the phone and it should work.

Seriously, just get 'debug ccsip mess' and 'debug voip ccapi inout'.  If the SIP profile is causing the issue, you should see it in the SIP messages to CM.
