CUBE Routinging with ISDN backup question.

Hi All,

Does anyone have any ideas on the following?

There are two CUBEs with a SIP trunk on each, the second is an SRST gateway with ISDN.

The CUBEs are configured in CUCM as SIP trunks.

Is there a way to try each CUBE (SIP trunk) first the the second CUBE’s ISDN?

Just wondering if there is a way without using MGCP on the ISDN.

If not MGCP it is!

Thanks

Gus

CUBE Routinging with ISDN backup question.

Sure but it depends how the CUBE responds to CUCM during the failure. For example, if you're using Options Ping and CUBE is hard-down, CUCM will see the SIP trunk as down and skip it automatically. If CUBE responds, the SIP response code will decide how CUCM responds. For example, a 500 series error would likely continue searching down the hunt list/line group. If you get a 404 not found, it will depend what the Stop Routing on Unallocated Number Flag service parameter is (True/False). Similarly, a 488 busy would depend on the Stop Routing on User Busy Flag service parameter.
