CUCM 6.1 Backup procedure

Hi, guys!

One simple question:

Does CUCM store backup files locally before it sends them using SFTP and delete them after sending?

I've just noticed, I got a backup failure message because my SFTP didnt have enough disk space and at the same time my Disk Usage on CUCM raised with LowVirtualMemory message at RTMT

Thank you

Re: CUCM 6.1 Backup procedure

Hello

The backup process should be as follows:

Publisher will create a temporary file locally on its filesystem in the common partition.

It will backup the Database, the TFTP, CCM features, locales, etc...

Via SFTP the Subscribers will send their TFTP, CCM features, Locales, etc...

Publisher will gather that info in one single file locally.

Once the file is completed, it will attempt to connect to the Backup repository.

It will place the file, and will delete the local copy on the server.

If you are having issues with the free HDD space on the common partition. Try to delete log files.

But usually the logging partition (common partition) is quite big and should have enough free space, maybe something else is preventing the backup from being done.

Thanks
Fernando
