CUCM 7.1.3 block inbound calls to select phones during evening hours

We have a request to block inbound DID calls from the PSTN to our hospital patient rooms overnight (say from 2200 to 0800 hrs).  Seems like this shouldbe possible by setting up a new partition with a time of day control.  Don't have a lab to play with and would like some feedback if possible before I start changing things on a production system.  Interested in advice or a doc to complete this work.

Currently running CUCM 7.1.3 - voice gateway is 3845 and is H.323.

Need to be able to time of day control several hundred telephones but should only have one time schedule.  Outbound calling and internal station to station calling (both directions) is OK - just no inbound PSTN calling.  No auto attendant in the call flow - all stations are DID.

Many thanks

Hi Les,

This should be a very workable setup;

This doc is pretty good

Unified Communications Manager 6.x: Time-Of-Day Routing Configuration Example

You may also find this recent thread very helpful, it has some awesome info from Bill,Java and Aaron;

Cheers!

Hey Rob -

I thought that was you.  Yes - I'm that Les Pruden and Ed is my Dad (retired many years now).  Hope all is well with you.  I'm working in Michigan just North of Detroit.  Interesting environment here - large hospital network with a big mix of Nortel, Avaya and now Cisco systems.

We've come a long way from 1A2 ....

Best regards,

Les
