CUCM 7.1(5) and IPhone

Hi all, I'm working with CUCM 7.1(5), I configure an IPhone 3GS with Cisco Mobile 8. It connects via wireless without problems and I can receive and make calls. The problem that I have is for example, when from the IPhone I want to open any other application, the Cisco Mobile disconnects and I need to start the Cisco Mobile again.

I'm sure I'm missing something in the config.

Some advice will be appreciated.

Hi David,

I believe you're running into a limitation on the iphone side. Even with skype it will do the same.

Working on multiple apps was introduced in Iphone 4 to my knowledge.

I also believe you are running in a limitiation on your Iphone.

I found this on the CUMA compatibility matrix:

Requirements for Cisco Mobile Release 7.1 are:

Apple iPhone 3G or 3GS, firmware version 3.0.1 or later

An unlimited data plan is strongly recommended.

iTunes 8.2 or later

Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage Release 7.1.3

But the Iphone it self will support multi tasking or state-saving applications with iOS 4.0

Maybe upgrading your phone will fix that issue.

Hi, thanks for yor reply. I'm running Cisco Mobile 8 in my Iphone 3GS. The Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage Release 7.1.3 is another application for the Iphone?
