Does CUCM 7.1 have any limited native recording features? Or do we have to purchase another Cisco product or thrid party app? We'd like for all calls to and from certain DNs to be auto matically recorded.

You need external service, there are many 3rd party products out there.
What you do want to use is the call recording/monitoring feature of CUCM which uses built in bridge on the phone to redirect the voice stream to recording server via SIP trunk, that is the new feature that was introduced in CUCM 7.1.

Hi,
Yes you can use QM for recording.
QM basically is used for Contact Centre deployment and is used for recording agents RTP media. But you can use same QM for recording RTP from the phone which is not related UCCX also ( Non Agent Phone).
