One of my clients has let someone go in their business office. They want to forward her calls to someone else and if the 2nd person doesn't answer, they want the call dropped into the 2nd person's voicemail. They successfully forwarded the calls to the 2nd person, and after they did that, they got rid of the 1st person's voicemail in Unity Connection. If the 2nd person doesn't answer though, it routes to their AA. Is there a relatively simple (i realize it is cisco...) way to transfer calls that aren't answered by the 2nd person to voicemail?

Hi there,
Have you tried to configure User 1's DN as an Alternate Extension
under User 2's account in Unity Connection. This is the quickest way
to acheive your desired results
Cheers!

Rob--you're a genius! I'm an aspiring CCVP, working on my CVOICE right now, so unity is still new to me. I really appreciate it. Now, if you could get my groundstart POTS backup lines working right, you would be a god (but i think it's a telco issue...good old ma bell).
Thanks again
Scott J.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your very kind (but grossly overstated) words my friend
With your current study path, you will get a good understanding of many Voice related technologies.
Best of luck with your journey! I'm surprised to hear that you are using Ground start lines as most Telco's
won't provision them too much anymore. If you need any help with them let us know.
Cheers!
Rob
