CUCM 8.0(1) add on phone option (Cisco 9971) failed

Hi,

My CUCM is version 8.0(1) and there is no phone option for cisco 9971 model while you wanna add new phone. i downloaded the phone firmware(

cmterm-9971.9-0-2.cop.sgn) and upload to CUCM, however after i reboot the CUCM Server the option for Cisco 9971 doesn't appear as well may i know what is the problem?

The attachment is the information while i upload the firmware to CUCM 8.0(1).

please help!!!!!

Download the device pack from CCO and install it just as you installed the FW.

Since this will add support for a new phone model you'll have to perform a mandatory cluster reboot.

Correct, as Java mentioned you will need to install the device pack from here . Usually, CCO will have the device enabler file ( .qed ) which is sufficient enough to add the phone type to CUCM but as it is not available for 9971 phone, this would need device pack.
