Hello Community,
Due to a power outage, the CUCM Publisher does not even respond to a ping. Almost 80% percent of the phones (7911, 7945 and 7975) are now registered to the Subscriber of the cluster, however when I try to make some changes on registered phones via the Subscriber administration page I get the following errors:
"Error occurred while retrieving information from database. java.sql.SQLException: No DELETE permission for numplan."
"Add failed. The Insert privilege is required for this operation."
Delete failed. No DELETE permission for device.
I believe this is not normal, any comments on the above?
Many thanks in advance,
George

Hi
Yes, it's normal.
CUCM uses one-way replication (pub to subscriber) for configuration, you'll need to restore your publisher to full service before you are able to make changes.

Hi,
In addition to what Mr. Aaron has said, you can do changes related to UFF [user facing features] features when Pub is down.
Below is a list of user facing features that can be updated by the subscriber and therefore updated while the publisher is down.

Hi All
As I know this behaviour is going to change from CUCM 10.x, from the 10.x Subscribers are also going to get Read Write access, please correct if I'm wrong.

Hi,
thanks for the rating.
I was just reading Avaya where this feature is available called as ESS[enterprise survivable servers ] where u can make changes in case of main server down. When main servers come UP, the changes made are not replicated back to main server. This too depends on Hardwares.

Hello ,
I have a smiliar issue. I reinstalled my publisher due to some technical issues . The subscriber has all the registered phones and other configs. However, all the effort in adding subscriber to the group proves abortive. The dbreplication is running

Can you generate new db replication report from unified reporting and upload it. Also what error you get while adding? Have you installed with same version.
