CUCM 8.6 and Silent Monitoring

Hey guys,

Is there a way to setup Silent monitoring on CUCM 8.6 without using a third party app to listen to the call?  I see that CUCM supports silent monitoring however it is not clear if it also requires additional software in order to utilize the feature.  Hoping someone can shed some light.

My use case would be this:

User John makes 100 cold calls a day and that persons manager, Sally, would like to listen in on the call and then afterwards give tips to the caller on what they did right and what they can do better.

CUCM 8.6 and Silent Monitoring

Yes, CUCM only enables a 3rd party app, or Contact Center for silent monitoring, it's not something you get with CUCM.

All you get with CUCM to do that, is Barge, and cBarge, which basically means you'll conference in with another user using a shared line. So, you would need to have a shared line with everyone you want to barge in.
