CUCM 8.6 can't get inbound and outbound calls

Hi everyone. We have cisco CUCM 8.6 and C2951 router for gateway. We also have E1 for the telco line. It worked perfectly before. But now it can't call outside from the CUCM and also can't call from outside to CUCM. When i call to CUCM main number (telco number) it tells "The number you dialed doesn't dxist". What can i do right now? Where can i start? Could you guys please help

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Please check the controller & isdn status first. if both are up, collect debug isdn q931 to see who is disconnecting the call.

URL to understand the ISDN disconnect cause codes:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk801/tk379/technologies_tech_note09186a008012e95f.shtml#topic1

in case if the disconnect is not from provider side, we may need to collect other debugs depends on GW type (SIP/H.323/MGCP) and CCM traces

Telco says that it is all working normally at their side. So how can i collect debugs for h323 gateway?

Hi

Really thanks for your reply. I attached debug output for "debug isdn q931". There are no problem at l1 and l2 level. Could you please check our debug output.

Thanks again

Hello

How your GW is being Controlled? Are you using H.323 or MGCP?

What is number is registered at your Call Manager ?

Br, Nadeem Please rate all useful post.

We are using H323. From the debug we collected gateway can receive calls from outside and can't forward it to CUCM. So we think it can't connect CUCM via H323. We also delete and reconfigure H323 Gateway on Callmanager. But issue still same. Do you need to check GW configuration?

Yeah Sure , Please post Router Config, let me the number range of Extn PHones are registered.

Looking at the Debugs which you have shared Seems like "7676" is not there on your call manager.Do you have this range of number configured and registered?

Also Let me know the number that you are making a call

1) Outbound Call (Calling and Called number) from CUCM ----GW---PSTN.

2) Inbound Call (Calling and Called number)  from PSTN---GW---CUCM.

Can you please collect one more debug and make one outbound and inbound call specify the calling and called number.

Here is our Router config (attached). No we don't have extension number 7676

so what is the number ?

now we are collecting debug again. Please wait a moment. Thanks for your reply

Dear Nadeem,

Sorry for late. We collect the new debug (attached). Here calling number is '94990125' and called number is 70117676 (it's telco number for our cucm).

There is no call has received by gateway from CUCM.

it seems the problem is with

dial-peer voice 11 pots

trunkgroup dealer

destination-pattern 7011T

!

call is received and forwarded again to PSTN this time only 7676

Delete dial-peer or modifiy patern to

destination-pattern 07011T

If you use 0 as a scape pattern for calls to pstn I think you can sumarize all paterns starting with 70 in only one dial-peer which routed to CUCM.

I suppose to you have the gw defined twice, one as MGCP controlled gw and one as sip gw or sip trunk. review incoming calling search spaces

if you can not dial out from cucm side it also must be a css problem.

I don´t understand why you are using MGCP for one e1.

regards

hi

first of all, check if isdn l1, and l2 layers are up

show controller e1 ( check that it l1 is up an without errors)

show isdn status ( check that l2 is up looking for multiframe stablished)

if both test were fine do the following

terminal monitor

debug isdn q931

make a call from cucm side an verify it is received in gw

make a call from provider side an verify it is received in gw.

also check the DSP status with show voice dsp voice

Really thanks for your reply. I attached debug output for "debug isdn q931". There are no problem at l1 and l2 level. Could you please check our debug output.

Thanks again
