Hello,

I am having a problem backup my cluster  .

When enter the disaster recovery system everything is slow (most of the time )

Some times I get this message

"Unable to process request, master agent is busy"

In addition the service DRF local in the sub is "down"

after restart the service is up only for few minutes .

I found this post

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12070896/drf-local-service-stops-subscriber

but I am no sure this is same problem and didn't understand completely.

Any ideas ?

Thank you ,

Hi Ben,

As per my reply on the earlier post as well ( https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12070896/drf-local-service-stops-subscriber )

If the service is failing repeatedly on the subscriber, first please check for any core dumps using the following command on subscriber cli

utils core active list

If no core dumps are found then we need to collect DRF Master and Local traces from the subscriber to look for any known bugs.

Manish

There is no core dumps .

How do I collect DRF Master and Local traces from the subscriber?

Cisco Unified Serviceability > Trace > Configuration > Select any node > Backup and Restore services > Select Master Agent > Make sure that 'Debug Trace Level' is set to 'Debug' > Check 'Apply to all nodes'

Now, do the same for Local Agent service

Now, reproduce the issue and collect the traces for the time stamp through Real Time Monitoring Tool.

When I try to do it I get different error

Local Agent is not responding. This may be due to Master or Local Agent being down

The local and master agent in both sub and pub are running .

This looks to be an ipsec cert issue. if this is a production system, i would suggest opening a TAC case to get the exact steps for cert regenration.

Hi ,

[+5] to Manish.

you can also refer the link with heading Error on the backup page on CUCM

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-version-71/111796-cucm-drf.html

regds,

aman

I followed the instructions the serial number for ipsec.pem file in the pub

mach the serial number for ipsec-trust.pem file of the subscribers.

The service is still running since the last restart but I still get the error

Local Agent is not responding. This may be due to Master or Local Agent being down.

Hi,

can u check /share the utils ntp status on Publisher ?

regds,

aman

Hi,

your NTP status shows unsynchronised. can u cross-check the same first?

regds,

aman

sorry Aman I don't understand what u mean "cross-check"

What exactly do u want me to do ?

Hi Ben,

Ideally, it should show Synchronized and if u check in the GUI, should show Accessible under OS administration ---settings---NTP servers.

can u check whether configured NTP are reachable or not?

regds,

aman

10.100.99.254The NTP service is accessible.
10.100.10.16The NTP service is accessible.
10.100.10.15The NTP service is accessible.

Can u try utils ntp restart and check whether it is getting synchronized ?

regds,

aman
