CUCM AD Directory Integration

Guys…I have an AD integration question.

I we are deploying the following upgrade..

CUMC from version to 6.1(4) to 8.6

Unity from version 5.0(1) to Unity Connection 8.6

UCCX from version 5.0(2) to 8.6

We are going to integrate with AD at the same time.

My question has to do what happens to the users in CM.

Do the users in CM go away?

Or are they synchronized with AD and become a part of AD? And show up as a new TAB in AD?

Existing users that have a matching userID in AD after the integration will be just updated, any other user that doesn't match will be removed by the garbage disposal mechanism.

This is just 1 way sync, LDAP -> CUCM.
