Rich,
To sum up so far.
Call comes in on BRI - OK
Q931 set up received for Called number 562982 - OK
562982 is translated to 52982 - OK
Matches dial peer 101 fails to connect
retries on dial peer 100 and again fails to connect.
IP addresses seem OK.
CSS on gateway is good
I can only assume that the it is the H323 protocol from the gateway to the CUCM that is failing.
Is ther any firewall etc between the gateway and the CUCM
H323 needs to set up a TCP session on port 1720 to pass the signalling information at the start of the call.
We may now need a packet trace from the routers IP port etc to further understand what is going wrong.
Regards
Alex.

From your incoming call the Q931 setup shows:-
Called Party Number i = 0x81, '562982'
I can not see any VOIP dialpeer to match this
destination pattern
the nearest VOIP dialpeer may have a typo

destination-pattern 52982

voice-class codec 1
voice-class h323 1
session target ipv4:192.168.0.150

Can you ammend this to :-

Rich,
I can now see that the i/c call for 562982 is being translated to 52982 and is
matching both dial peers 101 then 100, both fail to pass the call.
Can you look at the call manager H323 gateway serttings.
In the inbound call section what valueis set for the number of significant digits
It should be set to either "ALL" or "5"
Also is the CSS going to find a partitionwith the device with DN 52982

Hi Alex,
Regretably I've already checked that. 5 digits and the CSS can see the phones partition.
I was wondering if the dial peers were OK?

Rich,
The dial peers that are being matched are :-
!
dial-peer voice 100 voip
preference 2
destination-pattern 52...
progress_ind setup enable 3
voice-class codec 1
voice-class h323 1

!
Is there definitely ip connectivity between this router and these 2 ip address
1st choice CUCM
192.168.203.30
2nd choice CUCM
192.168.0.150

Hi Alex,
I've successfully pinged all CUCMs. Any ideas?
Rich

Rich,
I know this is a bit basic but can you confirm that the H323 gateway in CUCM is
192.168.178.66
Can you also click on reset & RESET the H323 gateway on CUCM and retest.

Sorted!
Something was blocking port 1720. The gateway had two dial peers pointing to two CUCM's. These CUCMs have port 1720 blocked somewhere. The third CUCM wasnt being blocked but wasnt on gateway-added it=working straight away. Need to track it down but its working! Thanks Alex.
