CUCM and LDAP synchronoization

I'm getting ready to use LDAP synchronization with CUCM 7.1.3.

I have about 2000 users.  When I tell it to sync should I be doing this at a time of low utilization or can I do it in the middle of the day without disrupting things?

Also it does not appear there is an easy way to test.  If I turn on synchronization any userid's that have a matching entry in AD will be overwritten by the information coming from AD - even if I turn off synchronization before the nightly garbage collection process runs?

The minute you enable the sync process it will start pulling the info, for that amount of users it shouldn't take long.

Also, even if you disable it the users won't be deleted as there are some time consideration about when users will be deleted by the garbage mechanism, if you're interested the whole explanation is under LDAP chapter from SRND.

As mentioned, there is no way to test this, other than enabling it.
