Hi,

Can anyone help me with UCM licensing for CP-3905 IP phones. As I know, only CP-6901 & CP-6911 phones require basic license, all the other IP phones use Enhanced license. Being a SIP phone, what license is required for CP-3905.

Regards,

Sagar

Hi Sagar,

In order to add 3905, you will need "Essential licenses -LIC-CUCM-ESS-A UCL " .

In the link below you can refer to the below mentioned tables.

" Table 4. Device Support for TelePresence, Desktop Video, Enhanced, Basic, and Essential Licenses" and

" Table 3. Telephony and Mobility User Connect Licenses (UCLs)"

Hope this helps.

Hi Sagar,

                 Please follow the link below.

Licensing

Phone licensing depends on the call-control  platform and its policies. For the Cisco Unified Communications Manager,  the Cisco Unified SIP Phone 3905 requires appropriate User Connect  Licensing (UCL). There are no special license-plus-phone bundles for  tier 2 distributors. The phone is not supported on third-party  call-control systems.

Hope this helps

Hi Abdul,

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, UCL is required for CP-7905 IP phone & I want to know what kind of UCL (basic or enhanced) is required for this phone when used with CUCM 8.6. Data sheet didn't help me finding the answer.

Sagar

Hi Abdul,

Table 4 is exactly what I was looking for. I found the document but didn't spent much time on it. Thanks for pointing them out.

Sagar
