CUCM service crash & dbreplication

Is it ok to run commands to fix database replication issues during business hours? Also, does it affect call processing in any way?

Suppose a particular service has crashed in CUCM, how do I get to know the root cause behind it?

Hi Rajnath,

Yes you can run some commands like,

utils dbreplication stop

utils dbreplication dropadmin db

if you are facing replication issues between your Call Managers.

these command would only stop the replication but would not affect any calls.

And incase if there is an issue with your Tomcat you can definetely restart the service during the production hours that would not affect any calls.

Since you have not mentioned the cucm version you are running, sending you a link below regarding dbreplication issues

But it would definetly advisable for you to open a TAC case if you have replication issues.

Please rate if this helps.
