CUCM Splitting a ISDN E1 Link

Hi there,

I would like to Know if it's possible to split an E1 ISDN Link to PSTN.

For instance lets supouse that two companies are sharing an CUCM and theres only one E1 ISND Link to outgoing calls to PSTN, If I would like to split the e1 isdn channels for example 20 for company A and 10 voice channels for company B, how could I need to manage the interface on CUCM in order to achive this?

Regards,

Luis Martinez

You cannot do that in CUCM, you would need to do that directly in the GW and you MUST use H323.

We do not support fractional links with MGCP. So in CUCM you just configure 1 H323 GW and the rest is done in the actual GW.

CUCM Splitting a ISDN E1 Link

Luis,

I assume that the 2 companies A & B will be set up in CUCM with their own individual

Partitions & CSS etc.

They would also need their own route patterns

They could share the the gateway.

There would need to be a difference in accessing the PSTN

E.g.

COMP A dial 9 for PSTN access

COMP B dial 4 for PSTN access

COMPA EXTN NUMBERS 7xxx

COMPB EXTN NUMBERS 8xxx

Shared H323 Gateway lets say 10.10.10.10

A config along these lines should be OK

You would need to adjust this for your own setup
