CUCM - Two SIP Trunk with Same Destination

Hi ,

We configure the  Two SIP trunk with Service Provider.One is for G711u codec another one for G729 codec.

There is no issue in the Outbound calls.

We have the problem in Incoming calls when the Service Provider send the call with g711 codec ccm select g729 trunk always.

Any one can explain the Incoming call behaviour for this scneario with any refernce document.

To understand better, could you explain the call flow ? i.e. where the call comes from & where it goes ?

Hi ,

Call flow will be

Remote Site   ---> SBC ---> CUBE ---> CUCM    ( CUBE to CUCM two SIP trunks)

CUCM will choose the SIP trunk based on the IP address in the FROM/VIA header of the SIP INVITE. Be sure that you are binding the outbound VoIP dial-peers on CUBE to separate loopback interfaces to allow CUCM to tell the difference.

Also be sure that the two SIP trunks in CUCM have different regions assigned and that your region matrix is properly configured to use a 64kbps codec with everything to/from that region.
