My unity 7.02 can support 200 vm ports. However, I can only create 144 on the CUCM7 server. Am I misssing something?

Hey Pete,
Have you tried this integration or are you referring to the CUCM Guides? If so, there is an error in the Guide;
Increase of Voice Mail Ports in Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Administration
Cisco increased the number of voice mail ports that you can configure in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration. You can configure up to 999 ports, although the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration documentation states that you can configure a maximum of 144 ports.

Hope this helps!

I'm trying to integrate it. Simply clicking CUCM /voicemail port wizard, cant get no more than 144. Yet unity license correctly states 200

Hey Pete,
Good stuff my friend! You are probably hitting this bug that can be remedied by upgrading CUCM to 7.0(2);
CSCsx23764 Bug Details
CUCM increase voicemail port limit- ccmadmin
Symptom:
Unity version 7.x supports up to 200 ports registered to a single CUCM cluster for each Unity server. Using the Voicemail Port Wizard in CUCM 5.x, 6.x, 7.x you are unable to add more than 144 ports with the wizard.
Conditions:
Relevant to Unity 7.x where more than 144 ports are configurable with one Unity server. Need to change parameter in CUCM from a drop-down list to a variable field that will account for future changes in Unity that may allow more VM ports to be added.
Workaround:
Manually add Unity ports in CUCM configuration Status

PS: CUCM 7.0(2) is probably an excellent bet in relation to your "stable release" question as well :)

Rob is correct, Unity 200 port support was added after CM 7 is in EFT, hence you need 7.0.2 to support 200.
Another alternative is to create 2 integrations on CM side one for 144 ports and another for 56, etc.
Also, I have 7.0.2 running at few customers without major issues, however I've seen some strange issues with firmware SCCP 8.4.3 that comes with 7.0.2.

Thanks all for the input. My apologies, I am running Unity 7.0.2, and CUCM 7.0.2.18
Unity lets me create 200 under integration utils.
CUCM Vm Port Wizard only lets me create only 144

You need to be running 7.0.2 release listed in the bug Rob posted. Otherwise use the workaournd where you add the remaining ports manually instead of wizard or create a a separate integration.
Also I would try running the wizard and use "Add ports to an existing Cisco Voice Mail server" option, this may work.

Hey Pete,
Like our friend Chris nicely noted (+5 points here Chris :) I would try this newest 7.0(2a) build. The Readme for this build indicates the fix is included;
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.20000-5.sgn.iso_part1of2
Release Date: 09/Apr/2009
Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0(2a) part 1 of 2 (non-bootable) - For upgrade from 6.0(1), 6.1(1), 6.1(2), 7.0(1) and 7.0(2).

Hello Rob
I've noticed in the bug notes that it is also fixed in various revisions of 7.1
Is 7.1 available?
04-15-2009 08:46 AM
Hey Pete,
Great question my friend! The current "tenative" release date for CUCM 7.1 is June 2009. So not too far off, but probably too far for what you need.
Cheers!

Hello rob,
I am on UCM 7.0.2.1000.18
and unity 7.0.2
Once I figure out how to use PUT to get the upgrade files, I'll see if the upgrade helps. thanks

For minor upgrades you do not use PUT, if the upgrade file is not listed on CCO download page, contact TAC.
HTH,
Chris
