CUE Auto Attendant Limit?

So we have a client that is looking at using the AIM-CUE in a 3825 SRST router at a remote location.  They want to use it for the Auto Attendant feature, basically to direct a main number to an Auto Attendant.  That part is fairly easy to understand. They do have Unity Connection at the main site, but would prefer to use the AIM-CUE at the remote site.

The question that came up today is how many simultaneous calls can the AIM-CUE support?  The AIM-CUE comes with 6 ports, so can 6 simultaneous inbound calls be handled by the AIM-CUE (assuming no VM setup)?  If 6 simultaneous calls is the limit, what happens to the 7th call?  Can it be sent to an operator default number?

Thanks for the assistance.

Ron

Re: CUE Auto Attendant Limit?

The number of ports is the max # of calls the CUE can handle, whether they're AA, to leave VM, to retrieve VM, etc.

Re: CUE Auto Attendant Limit?

That answers the question about number of inbound calls the Auto Attendant can support.

Now, what would happen to the 7th call if 6 calls are the max supported and they were currently being handled by the AIM-CUE?  Would you get a fast busy, some other outcome?

Re: CUE Auto Attendant Limit?

You get busy as no ports are available to take the call

Re: CUE Auto Attendant Limit?

Hi Expert,

I'm in the same situation with CUE 7.1 network module with max of 24 ports/ session. But actually, it needs support an E1 line (30 concurent calls) :-(.

Is there any way to configure 25th and above call forwarded to an ext no.?

Highly appreciate your support.

Thanks & regards,

Quan.
