Hi All,

I want to install Cups 6.0 on a Vmware machine, but it keeps failing.

Is this possible?

What are the system requirements (I have a p3 with 1 gig ram)

Are there any "special" settings for the vmware machine?

Thanks in advance,

Floyd

You can install it in a VMware session. I have mine on a VMWare session. On our blade server/vmware machine we have about 6 gigs of memory and several quad core procs.

I do know that you need to allocate 72 gigs hd space and 2 gigs of memory for the install.

Installation of CUPS requires a specific mcs server requirement. It supports only on 7835 H2 and 7845 H2.

for more info read the compatibility matrix

Hi,

I thought that you are allowed to install for lab and proof of concepts.

To build on the great info from Josh. CUP602 will install in VMWare natively and will also give you 2 Node Licenses and 2 SIP Proxy licenses. You have to install from bootable 6.02 media to gain this functionality. This is only supported in a non-production environment. Refer to the CUP602 release notes for further information.

Thank you,

Jon

Thanks guys,

CUPS is installed on VMware using 2 gigs of ram and 72 gigs harddrive.
