Custom Headers

Hello!

I'm trying to figure out if any of the Cisco UC system support the ability to add a custom header. While in config mode I tried viewing the available headers "#request INVITE sip-header ?" but I didn't see the ability to create a new customer header.

Does anyone know if the UC allows you to create your own custom header, or are is the output of of the above referenced command the only SIP headers that the Cisco UC allows you to use.

Thanks in advance!

You can do this in a Voice GW using the SIP Profile!

On CUCM you can use the SIP Profile applied to a SIP Trunk for example.

But what kind of solotuin you are talking about? CUCM, CME...?

Thanks for the quick reply! It's a UC500 running CME 8.1 software. Basically, the ITSP allows a "custom tag" to be used for CDRs so that CDRs can be filtered easily. If we can create a custom tag which the UC would then send in the INVITE it would make CDR sorting/accounting much easier!

Thanks for the article -- using that was able to clue into using an alternate header to achieve this.

You're welcome, thank you for the nice rating and good luck!
