Delay in Dial peer

Hi All,

Im facing 15sec delay in dial peer. We are using h323 gateway, there are 2 dialpeers. Dial peer 10 trageted to subcriber with the perference 1 and dial peer 20 trageted to publisher perference 2. Dial peer 10 taking 15sec to throw the calls to CCM over the WAN. If the shut the dial peer 10 calls are working fine with the dialpeer 20 without any dealy. Already voice-codec commands are added to the dial peers. We are having same setup for some other sites also but only this site is facing the problem. Can any one help?

15 seconds is usually by default the  inter-digit timeout. Which is the timeout the system will wait for  another digit when trying to route a call.

This usually  happens when the dial-peer selection matches a pattern of variable  length on the number of digits.

Is the dial-peer 10 and dial-peer 20 configuration equivalent?

Does  any of them have a variable-lenght pattern?

Can you  copy the configuration of ALL the dial-peers?

It could also be that the first dial peer's destination is down, and we're wating for the h225 TCP timer to pop.  That can be changed with:

voice class h323 1

h225 timeout tcp establish 1

dial-peer voice X voip

voice-class h323 1

Or if SIP:

sip-ua timers trying Y retry invite XLet X be the retry invite value, Y be the trying timer, and Z be theamount of dial-peers you are hunting.  X is the amount of times to retry before hunting to the next peer. Y is the duration to exponentially increment after each retry.total hunt time = ( ( 2^ ( X+1) ) - 1 ) * YZOf if you got a 'debug voip ccapi inout' and the associated VoIP debug for the leg, you could see first hand what is occurring.
