I acquired an IPT system and we're running short on extensions that fall within our DID range. We have pub/sub CCM ver 4.1sr3c.
What I'm looking for is some way to easily determine unused extensions. I know there has been turn over and plenty of these numbers are unused. Is there a ways to see activity or another way to determine what numbers have not been in use for awhile?
This section describes how to delete an unassigned directory number from the route plan report. Directory numbers get configured and removed in the Directory Number Configuration window of Cisco CallManager Administration. When a directory number gets removed from a device or a phone gets deleted, the directory number still exists in the Cisco CallManager database. Looks like 2 awesome suggestions that help give me a start. I did forget one little detail though, we use extension mobility. So I think I'll have to use a combination of both ideas to get this done right.
I think I'll use the "Unassigned" route plan report, that'll at least get me in a little better shape. Then I can proceed with look them up via CDRs.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
