Dial Intercom Group [CUCM 7.0]

Is it possible to configure a Dial Intercom Group in CUCM 7.0 ... versus Intercom which allows you to place and receive one-way calls using dedicated intercom lines [auto answer with speakerphone].

What we would like to be able to do ... arrange a group of 20 phones into a dial intercom group. Want to be able to call another set in the dial intercom group by dialing a one or two digit code.

  1. Pick up the handset and press the Intercom key.
  2. Dial a one or two digit code for the phone you are calling. 
  3. Wait for auto-answer; you are then connected.

Sure. Remember that the intercom lines exist in their own partition and have their own CSS. You can create two-digit intercom directory numbers and place them all in the same intercom partition. Assign a CSS that has only that partition. Do not specify a speed dial value on the intercom line when you create it. When the user goes off-hook, they will receive dial tone and can enter the two-digit intercom directory number of another person in that partition.
