Dial-peer pots outbond state down problem

Hi,

I have one cisco 3825 (IOS 12.3.11T8), with one VIC2-2BRI-NT/TE, interconnect with gsm interfaces.

In show isdn status i can see that Layer 1 and L2 are up. But when in show dial-peer voice summary i saw outbond state of dial-peer that is using that card is down and i can't make calls.

If i use no dial-peer outbond status-check pots command i can make outgoing calls, but this could bring problems when making outgoing calls if port is really down.

My config is:

interface BRI0/2/0

no ip address

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn overlap-receiving

isdn point-to-point-setup

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn sending-complete

isdn static-tei 0

isdn skipsend-idverify

dial-peer voice 933 pots

destination-pattern 93.......

progress_ind setup enable 3

progress_ind alert enable 8

progress_ind progress enable 8

direct-inward-dial

port 0/2/0

forward-digits all

Any suggestions?

Best Regards,

MC

Hi MC,

There is no alternative to:

no dial-peer outbound status-check pots

Because in many countries telco remove power to BRI lines and these becomes down to all effects. And if your GSM interfaces do the same, well it's the same.

I also think that all the progress_ind commands are unnecessary until proved otherwise, but that's another matter.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
