Dial-Peer question

I have to look after an existing H323 GW network and trying to work it out however what does not help is that the previous people just copied the same config. on all the H323 router regardless of whether it is required or not

I have a dial-peer as below

dial-peer voice 11 voip

incoming called-number 1#

voice-class h323 1

tech-prefix 1#

fax-relay ecm disable

fax rate 14400

no vad

!

dial-peer voice 123 pots

destination-pattern 1#T

progress_ind alert enable 8

direct-inward-dial

port x/x:15

Every other GW into this one sends the prefix1# followed by the site code

Question

1. Is Dial-peer 11 valid,

2. Why would you not have a session target/ Port as the next step- Is it just used to "terminate" the incoming number 1# and then use Dial-peer 123 as the next step

I`ve seen dial-peer 11 in many of the configurations

many thanks

Re: Dial-Peer question

first u were right

dial-peer here used as incoming dial-peer it takes the voip call match it the the pots will be used as outbound dial-peer

u need to mak the matching exact like lets say the number as 1# 3digits site code and 4 digits is the calle dnumber

dial-peer voice 11 voip

incoming called-number 1#.......

or

dial-peer voice 11 voip

incoming called-number 1#T

and if u make as follow will match any coming number

dial-peer voice 11 voip

incoming called-number .

good luck
