Dialing an outside Operator

Is there a way to set up the dial plan to send out an operator call "9.0" without the delay while it waits for additional numbers before determining it's not an Intl call? I understand we can adjust the T302 timer.

Not without any delay, even changing the IDT you'll have 3 seconds as that's the minimum value.

Also the parameter affects all calls, so if anyone waits more than 3 seconds the call will be attempted even if digits are missing.

If you don't have anything starting with 0 you could use that without any 9

You could configure "9.0#" route pattern. Then when you dial 90# it should dial out with out waiting for any digits.

Re: Dialing an outside Operator

I've tried this in various renditions. 9.0# striping the predot and striping predot trailing #. We get an error "call can not be completed as dialed".

A subsequent question - if you use 9@ you can add a route filter with a NANP. Is there a benefit for using 9@ vs 9. ?

Thank you.

Using 0 alone won't help...we have inside operators.

Make sure call searching space of the IP Phone contains the route-pattern's partition.

You may need to stripe out predot if you are using MGCP, if H323 then no need to stripe out the 9 if dial-peer pot configured as 9T on the router. Again this depend on how is your setup.
