Hi , I'm having issues with fax machine at a location. Reports state that some days faxes wont receive or send. From what I can tell its sporadic. The activity reports from the fax says that when I have these issues its a "poor line conditions".
The Fax machine is connected to an FXS port on a Cisco 2801 with C2801-SPSERVICESK9-M IOS. I have an FXO port that is connected to the PSTN on that same router specifically for the analog device. We are using Call Manager Version 4 with MGCP for our call agent.
Voice calls seem to work fine the times I have tested this. I've attached the router config, is there any other additional tweaks I can do to help faxing. I know about the obvious things such as disabling ECM or lowering the baud rate however, the fax machine in question does not give me the option to disable it. Is there a supported fax machine that Cisco would reccommend? It seems to me, in my experience, I've always had issues with cheaper fax machines being a problem.
