%DSMP-3-DSP_TIMEOUT:

I tried to add 2 new BRIs to slot 1. After the configuration I'm receiving following error on the gateway  (2800 Software (C2800NM-SPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(15)T13).

%DSMP-3-DSP_TIMEOUT: DSP timeout on DSP 1/1:1: event 0xDC, DSMP timed out, while waiting for statistics from the DSP. DSMP State = S_DSMP_COLLECTING_STATS, chnl info(1, 1, 1)

When i make a call, the call goes mute.

I have found that there was a bug related to this problem (CSCef90360), but it is not accessible anymore.

show voice dsp error gives me this result:

DSP: 1/1:1

        Timeout: 3607180.548 3556041.968 3289057.072 3280658.116

Hi,

The bug you found (CSCef90360) is being with held by Cisco pending further investigation.

Your current IOS version (c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T13.bin) has beeen deferred (withdrawn) by Cisco due to many bugs.

I would advise you to upgrade to the latest in your train

c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T17.bin

Then re test.

Regards

Alex

The problem shouldn't be IOS. I have 2 other VGs with the same IOS and configuration and they are OK.

I found another problem that the DSP is changing its status to up only in the end of the call.(when i hang up)

Mar  6 12:58:14.291 MET: %DSPRM-5-UPDOWN: DSP 1 in slot 1, changed state to up

After each call through this BRI, the Alarm Indicator is increased.

I also tried to check the DSP with test voice driver command and reset all DSP's in slot 1 test dsp device 1 all reset, but it didn't help.

I think it can be HW issue. Will try to replace the NM-HD-1V.

Sometimes different usage patterns may trigger bugs and it may not be hardware.

If practical I would consider swapping the module and DSPs with another router (you say you have others identically configured) to see if the fault moves with it.

I have C2951 router, version 15.2 and i got the same error, DSP Timeout and the calls were going mute.

I fixed it reloading the gateway and i haven´t got DSP Timeout erros any more.

By the way i will open TAC to find out why it happened.

Hi,

Did you open TAC ? What did they told you ?

Reboot of Router helped me to resolve the issue ..

Why are you answering to a post, which is over 10 years old?
Furthermore, probably nobody still uses 2800 routers, they are end of everything for years.
