DSP Resources for XCDR

Greetings all,

A couple questions regarding DSP's

1) Is it possible ot find out which call/resource is using a DSP. We see in RTMT that 1 transcoder is being used..but by what?

2) Just wondering what commands you all find useful for troubleshooting DPS's.

Our issue that we're having...

Due to the amount of Transcoding resources needed, Cisco/Partner had us purchase a router loaded with a TON of DSP resources. We're having problems with lots of choppines right now. When we look at the config, everything looks right. DSP's are registered with the publisher and Media Resources have been verified to be correct. We have RTMT running against this specific group, and it's almost always showing 0 active. Every so often, 1 does get used. We're trying to figure out what that 1 item is to see what's so special about that 1 item to work :(

We've had cisco TAC working on this for quite some time. We've upgraded IOS, Upgraded the DSPWare software, reconfigured the regions to use g711 (and the chopiness goes away), etc...

Oh..this chopines is only on the prompts for Call Center.

we're on:

CUCM 6.1.1.2000-3

UCCx 5.0(2)_Build064

IOS 12.4(13r)T

Thanks,

Robert

Re: DSP Resources for XCDR

1) Once you know which XCODE resource u need to login to the GW and if using IOS u need to use sh sccp X commands

In 6608 show voice port X commands help.

2) You may check QoS and all devices involed in a call when youget choppiness

GW - XCODER - IVR ..etc

Sniffer capture may help.

BTW what is the SR# ?

Thanks Robert
