Please have alook on below debug isdn q931:

What is the IP Phone model ? Is this issue specific to any perticular phone model or all models ?

GP.

& also post the phone firmware version.

GP.

Phones model are 7961 & phone firmware version is SCCP41.8-4-1S

Gajan thanks for your reply

I dont think so its phone model or firmware version issue, because i just did the test by defining + in under Gateway option in CUCM & its displaying complete e.164 on phones display.

If its in debug isdn q931 then it should display on phone as well. Im confuse why its not displaying by default ?

Regarrds

is the GW in CUCM defined with "All" significant digitis?

Are you performing any translations either on the GW or CUCM?

My recommendation would be to look at CUCM SDI trace logs to see what CUCM is seeing.

HTH,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes im doing translation on GW.

I have defined one translation rule for incoming call which is defined under voice-port.

voice transation-rule 1

rule 1 /.*\(....\)/ /\1/

voice translation-profile 1

translate called 1

voice-port 0/1/0:23

translation-profile incoming 1

dial-peer voice 1 pots

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

!

dial-peer voice 2 voip

destination-pattern ^7...$

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

session target ipv4:142.100.64.12

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

!

dial-peer voice 3 voip

preference 1

destination-pattern ^7...$

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

session target ipv4:142.100.64.11

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

On GW i have confgured signifact digit 4

Anis

Hello acampbell,

If i remove translation-profile from voice-port 0/1/0:23, then how my incoming call will work ?

I tried by removing translation-profile from voice-port & i defined it under dial-peer voice 1 .. still its the same situation

Anis

Hello Chris,

Can you tell me how to get the SDI trace logs of CUCM ?

Regards

Use Real Time Monitor Tool to collect the CallManager service logs, it will gather SDI and SDL logs, look at the SDI.  There are some good guides on how to use RTMT on CCO for your specific version.

I'm pretty sure that the ISDN Q.931 standard does not support the plus character. IMO it's a defect that this is working with MGCP; neither the router or CCM stack should be adding that into the SETUP IE.

The easiest solution would to be use SIP dial-peers instead of H.323. Baring that you could just re-add the prefix at ingress on CUCM.
