Hello,

I have 4 E1 Pri links with different DID terminating on 2 no'sVoice Gateway. How I should plan on CUCM 8.6 so that the users of specific DID should flow from his E1 PRI link.

Please explain

Thanks

No, you're not getting the idea after all the examples and explanations

A) you add the prefix to the CALLED NUMBER, apparently somehow you got to the conclusion you add it to the calling number, no, that's wrong. Drop that idea.

B) it won't discard 11 just because it's before T (or . for that matter), pots dial-peers discard EXACT MATCHES on the destination-pattern

And the above point, is the WHOLE idea behind what you need to do to, make this work.

C) DPs have nothing to do with this, you use CSS and partitions. Specially with H323, in CUCM you configure ONE H323 GW, CUCM has absolutely no idea how the call is going to be routed on the GW, or if it's going to use a T1/E1/FXO/etc. Even with MGCP, you configure ONE MGCP GW, with ALL the endpoints, you cannot separate each PRI on a DP.

Again, this has been discussed many times before on CSC, and searching will provide more examples.

Hello

How can I remove the prexis from phone display nd how can I solve the issue of mossed call by adding prefix

Hi Jack.

Missed calls are incoming calls which don't need to be prefixed.

What we are working on, is the outside call routing.

When a user calls an outside number using a predefined port (with prefix workaround showed above) he will appear to the remote phone with the root number of selected voice port plus his extension so can be called back in case of no answer.

Hello Carlo,

+5 for second reply from top,

I applied your above theory of partitions and CSS  and the calls are going out, but as i told you that i have to add the translation for outgoing call without it will not work and it became true, when i don't put any translation the calls were not going out when i apply translation call started flowing, i think may be you 'll didnt understood me, but anyways i respect your replies as you'll are experts.

Now what i want is the below i will write in steps so it will be more clear.

  • when anybody dial GSM number for ex from PRI-A , on user phone display it shows 1012345678  (10) is the prefix and

12345678 is the real GSM number. how can i avoid to display (10) prefix

  • when a GSM user call corporate user , the missed call are seen on the phone , when the user wants to dial that missed call from the call history he can't dial becz our dial plan is by pressin 9 for outside calling, so how i can add prefix 9 on the missed call numbers.

Thanks

here is the attached

Hi Jack.

Let's take your dial-peer 60 as example.

You have

dial-peer voice 60 pots

translation-profile outgoing CALLID

destination-pattern 13T

port 0/0/1:15

in this case user dials external number and 13 prefix is applied

configure what follow

voice translation-rule 13

rule 1 /^13/ //

voice translation-profine CALLID

translate called 13

With above config, user will show only dialed number.

For the second question

voice translation-rule 100

rule 1 /.*/ /9\0/

voice translation-profile DID

translate calling 100

Dear Carlo,

When i applying them as a  rule 2 for existing translation-rules,

those are not in effect.

Thanks

Hi Jack.

What do you mean for "rule 2"?

Hi Carlo,

mean to say below, i applying configs in the exisitng translation profile as they are already applied on voice port and dial-peer, You can have a look at running config in previous post.

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^4485\(5...\)$/ /\1/

rule 2 /.*/ /9\0/

!

voice translation-rule 2

rule 1 /^\(5...\)$/ /4485\1/

rule 2 /^13/ //

voice translation-profile CALLID

translate calling 2

!

voice translation-profile DID

translate called 1

Thanks

Hi Jack.
If you see at my previous post, the tranlation rule 2 is defined as called not calling on translation profile CALLID

Dear Carlo,

Sorry my bad didnt noticed

but what abt the DID below configs it is not working, the prefix "9" is not added on the missed calls.

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^4485\(5...\)$/ /\1/

rule 2 /.*/ /9\0/

voice translation-profile DID

translate called 1

Thanks

Hi.
This simply add a 9 to calling number so that missed and received calls can be dialed back immediately.
