E1 R2 ANI request

Hi Every one, I am configuring an e1 on a 5850 that has 24- channelized E1/ PRI port,

I have 1 E1 conencted on a DMS 100 Nortel Switch where we get all teh PSTN calls,  the problems is that we need to get the Calling number (ANI) on our 5850 so that we can send this to another Voip gate way using Sip protocol, and we need the ANI for record porpose.. All the calls Terminate succesfully on the other gateway, but  we need to send the calling number ANI for record porpose..

when i do a

call active voice breif 

this is what i get

on the logs there si no callin gnumber ANI.

Agian no calling number ANI on the Sip leg of the call...

this is the config I am using on the E1, and on the dial peers..

the technician from the Nortel Switch say they are sending both the, ANI and DNIS for all calls, on the 5850 I can see the DNIS, but not the ANI "calling Number".

Notice: when i configured   ani-digits min 1 max 40         No calls get through

and when i change it to     ani-digits min 0 max 40    all calls go through

like if the calls are droppped because the 5850 is not getting any Ani from the Nortel switch. 

Any suggestion, other configuration I can try so as to see teh ANI Calling Number, or changes i can do on the 5850 for the E1 R2 connection...??????

You want to run 'debug vpm sig' on the 3660.

For the 5350, additional debugs you can run are:

debug sigsm r2
debug sigsm sm
debug sigsm digits
debug csm voice
debug csm neat

I agree that the issue is the other side not sending ANI, though.  We can prove it if you get debugs that show the digit delivery during the call setup to see it is switching to group II, and sending the calling party number, but it may be more time effecient to get someone to scrub the Nortel config for proper ANI delivery config.

It looks like the other side isn't configured to send you ANI, which is why the call only works when the min ANI length of 0 works.

Can you get 'debug vpm sig' during an inbound call?

Also, verify that your provider is, in-fact, configured for compelled.

This is the IOs version we are using on our 5850, and does n’t supports the """" debug vpm sig“"”'

Is their any other debug I can use???????????? To monitor the calls and see if we are getting the ANI?????

We have another connection to the same switch to a C3660 Router that we use for our dialup connection;

can u please give me a debug command??? so as to be able to see , when a call is setup for a dialup connection,

and if it is picking up the ANI???

The debug for that platform is 'debug cas' for in-band signaling.

the Switching Technician keep saying that they are sending the ANI and DNIS, and that their E1 configuratiosn is set to r2-compelled ani,  I strongly think that the problems is on the Nortel switch side that is not sending the ANI to our gateway.....

still we can't see any ANI nor DNIS, for the calls when we are are using our dialup connection,,,

Any More dubug commands that i could try???? or other suggestions, configuration i can try?????

I did a       debug csm voice   and again no calling party number..     just  called party=19032122704

Dear Danny, did you get any reason for the problem as i am facing the same problem, i can't calling or called number so i can't transfer the call to call manager.
