Error Importing User to Unity Connection

When I try to import a user into Unity Connection, I get an error that says

"Friday, September 10, 2010 1:31:58 PM MDT ERROR importing user (ljavalera) with extension = 1310 : A User with the specified extension already exists in the Partition."

yet when I list all of the users with extension beginning with 13, none are listed with 1310.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Hi John,

In many cases this happens because the extension (like 1310 in your example) has been previously

configured as an Alternate Extension under another DN. It must be removed as an Alternate extension

before proceeding
