error Xml [4 ] with 7961 and 7941

We have three xml phone services, developed with sdk, that are three views on the Microsoft Active Directory.

When I call the services from 7940 or 7985 model every view works fine.

When I use 7941 or 7961, I watch the error in the object.

The firmware is updated (Rel SCCP41.8-3-2S).

The problem is known (lenght of the first or last name over 31 characters), but there is a good solution?

I would go ahead and open a case with the tac.

Unless cisco can demonstrate and point to documentation showing that newer phones have different limitations in displaying long name than the older one, they shall fix it.

As a workaround you could adapt you applications so that it checks for the specific phone model and when necessary, does truncate the names as necessary. This can be indeed a faster solution than waiting for cisco to fix something.
