EVM-HD and analogue modem problem

We have a 3845 with EVM-HD modules in MGCP mode. We have tested FAX and modem calls successfuly. However, one modem type will not connect - the error is:

No carrier detected.

With dedicated modem lines, I prefer to force FAX-relay to passthrough mode. However, there seems to be no setting in CallManager 5.0(4) that allows me to force FAX passthrough.

Does anyone know if this mode can be forced on this setup??

Since this is an MGCP gateway, wouldn't it be configured on the gateway with mgcp modem passthrough?
