Exclude from translation pattern

Hi

We have a DDI range where a few numbers need to be re-directed to a QSIG trunk using more specific dial peers

Now we have the "problem" that on the incoming dial-peer the DDI range is translated to our internal numbering plan.

is there a way to exclude certain numbers from this translation (the ones that need to go via QSIG should not be "manipulated") or is the only way to do this create another translation to reverse the first one placed on the dial peer towards the QSIG trunk?

thanks

Koen

Hi Koen,

Generally there is no such way to exclude few set of numbers in the translation pattern. But If the number that you want to redirect are in a specific range then you can alter the current translation pattern to not to match that pattern.

Yes as you mentioned as an alternative solution you can create another translation pattern to reverse the first one.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply

just thinking about this and using another translation pattern then dial peer configuration becomes another change as well because the numbers are translated to our internal numbering so they could match an incorrect dial peer (sending it to CUCM instead of using the QSIG trunk)

Is this a possible way:

in the incoming translation pattern set the first rules to the range that needs to be excluded and translate them to the identical incoming number?

eg rule 1 /12345/ /12345/
