Hi all,
i have some Cisco ip phones (7962G) which have expansion module 7915. My question is only this: can users change these "speed lines" from their user web page?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Roberto Loiudice

Hi Roberto,
No worries my friend
Are you sure that these aren't BLF-Speed Dials? Users are able modify "normal" Speed Dials
but the abilty to change BLF-Speed Dials is not currently possible.
Unified CM supports the ability for a speed dial to have presence capabilities by means of a busy lamp field (BLF) speed dial. BLF speed dials work as both a speed dial and a presence indicator. However, only the system administrator can configure a BLF speed dial; a system user is not allowed to configure a BLF speed dial.
From the CUCM 8.x SRND;

Cheers!

Hi Roberto,
You don't mention the call control so I'm going with CUCM
for this answer
It is possible for users to change Speed Dials via ccmuser
web page.....ccmuser>login>device>speeddials>update
If you don't see the speeddials option on the user page then go to;
CCMadmin>Enterprise Parameters>CCMuser Parameters>speeddials>set to True
Cheers!

Hi Rob,
are you right: i don't mentioned the call control, but is CUCM... Forgive me
Users can see and modify Speed Dial; users cannot change only the Speed Dial configurated on the expansion module 7915.
Thanks!
Roberto

You're right, these Speed Dials, which users cannot modify, are BLF.
Thanks so much!
