Hi,
Can the experts out here in Netpro kindly explain what a clear channel codec is ? (If it is a dumb question, please accept my apologies!!)
Search on Netpro and Google didn't help!! :-(
How different is the clear channel codec from G.711?
What is the bandwidth requirement for a clear channel codec?
Thanks in advance!!
Bala.

Clear channel codec is used in SS7-enabled networks. Most likely this is not your situation. The BW requirement is, I believe, around 64k per call but again - it's fairly specialized for use with SS7 networks.
