Failover VoIP to PSTN dial-peer configuration

I have a CME with a SIP trunk connected to a PBX that allows 4 digit dialing over the WAN. If the WAN goes down I would like to translate the 4 digit number to the E.164 number and then re-route the calls to the PSTN. If the remote PBX extensions are 5xxx and their DID?s are 1-212-555-5xxx will the following configuration work?

dial-peer voice 1 voip

description SIP trunk to PBX

preference 1

destination-pattern 5...

session protocol sipv2

session target ipv4:10.10.10.10

no vad

!

!

dial-peer voice 100 pots

description Alternate for 4-digit calls

preference 2

destination-pattern 5...

prefix 1212555

port 1/0

Also will this work with CAC (using call threshold commands)?

Re: Failover VoIP to PSTN dial-peer configuration

Hi Mike,

You will need to modify your prefix to:

12125555

otherwise the number will go out as 1212555000

Thanks for the help! I see what you mean about changing the prefix

Just curious...could I also fix the dial peer I origianlly posted by adding the command "forward-digits 11"?
