We have a setup as follows: Voice DS-3 into an AS5400 with VoIP connection to an Avaya PBX. We are using the DS-3 for incoming calls and outgoing long distance calls. Everything has been working except for outbound fax calls. Is there some sort of configuration (global or otherwise) that I need to do to make faxing work? I'm not sure whether I need to set up anything in the dial-peer (pots) going out. There looks to be a command "information-type fax" that can be used in a pots dial-peer but I'm not sure if this will force this dial-peer to only accept fax calls or if this will relay T38 information to the pots line. I kind of understand fax relay but am not sure this is pertinent to our situation. Is there anything I need to configure globally to make fax work out the DS-3?
