FAX Over IP

Is it possible to keep cisco fax ATA 187 on one site and pstn line (fxo or E1) on antoher site. These 2 sites are connected with GRE Tunnel. I tried its working but i need to tune it. Its rings but when we send fax...it gets disconnected.

I have registered that ATA on Callmanager....and configured one voip dialpeer to reach that line of ATA on CUCM.

Is there any other design to run fax in this scenario (where line is absent where fax ata is dere)

If you make a voice call, is the audio OK?

If YES, what is the codec used? What is the fax method used (fax passthrough, cisco fax relay, T.38)?
