Fax prblem in UC500


I have connected the fax device on the FXS port. The phone keeps ringing but the fax doesn't start and we are not able to receive faxes but can send them. We just have one PSTN line.

Can anyone help on this

seems, faxes don't pass handshaking state.

tell us what fax protocol you use (statement in voice service voip) and your fxo and fxs voice-port settings.

couldnt find out what is the dial-peer pointing to your fax machine? you have only 9T peers. And what is your fax extension?

for example #299

voice service voip

fax protocol pass-through g711ulaw

dial-peer voice 6 pots

destination-pattern 299

port 0/0/0 (where fax is attached)

fax rate 14400

voice-port 0/0/0 (fxs port)

no echo-cancel enable

The fax machine is attached on the FXS voice port 0/0/0 with extension 301.
