Fax + VG224

Hi all,

I'm working on that design : Fax -> VG224 configurated with passthrough (SCCP) -> VG 28XX (MGCP).

When I send faxs :

1. I send 10 pages in intern and it's works

2. Sometimes, when I send faxs to external (fax client), it's only working for the first 5 pages and after I have an error.

This is the configuration of the VG:

Maybe it's a problem with the clock?

Thanks,

Hi

If the problem only happens when sending external, I would start by checking the clocking on your outgoing T1/E1 circuits:

Show controllers e1

Or

Show controllers t1

Post back the output...

Hi

OK, you have slips...

Try:

Conf t

Network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-select 1 E1 0/0/0

network-clock-select 2 E1 0/0/1

end

clear controllers e1

Then have a look around any other gateways running E1/T1 circuits you have for similar errors and correct those.

Come back to this one in 15 minutes and see if the errors have stopped; and if so, retest your fax.

Be aware that whilst this is a common cause of errors on faxes, lots of other things could be going wrong as well

Regards

Aaron
