FAX with CUCM

Hi,

One of my site has installed CUCM 11.5 and Cisco 2921 Gateway. Service provider SIP trunk is terminated to the Cisco voice gateway. Service provider said that they can allocate a number to FAX from SIP line. So, how I can configure a CUCM and 2921 for FAX? Is there are any extra devices needed for the setup?

Thanks,

Rajitha

If you have a fax machine, you would need an FXS port to plug it in. You can add an FXS card to your voice GW or use an ATA depending upon how many fax machines you need to have functional etc.
If you have an IP fax server, then it will most often integrate with CUCM via SIP trunk. Some fax servers might want to use H.323 as well.
