Hi all,

I have 6925 and 9971 IP phone how to update latest firmware on both the ip phone please help and which is the latest firmware?

Hi Alex

Through

http://software.cisco.com/download/navigator.html?i=!mmd selecti "voice and Unified comminications" -->> "IP Telephony" --> "Unified Communications Endpoints" you can discover the latest firmware for all IP Phone models.

Anyway:

9971: 9.3(4)

6925 = Unrecognized Model

Hi Alex,

You can use the link to download 6945 depending on the Protocol[SIP/SCCP]. there is no 6925 IP phone

You need to have CCOID to download the files.

procedure to upload files is as below:

1. Using your web browser, login to the Cisco Unified Operating System Administration web page
2. Under the Software Upgrades menu, select Install/Upgrade.
3. Fill in the appropriate values in the Software Location section for the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
4. In the Options/Upgrades drop-down box, select the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
5. In the File Checksum Details box, verify you have selected the correct firmware and the MD5 has the correct value, click Next.
6. Check that you received a Success message

After u upload the files in all servers in a cluster, u need to restart TFTP server.Also , read the Release notes of desired firmware.
