Cisco uses Extension Mobility in CallManager. If I am in San Francisco and travel to another regional office in San Jose, all IP phones connected to the same CCM Cluster, I can use EM to bring my extension with me.
That's correct, but it must be the same CCM cluster, I mean, the phone on SJ and the phones on San Francisco belongs to the same CCM cluster, actually, you can bring your extension if your EM profile has the same lines as your phone (they will be shared between the EM profile and your phone).
